Much talk during the second half of this season has been of the wondrous transfer targets we’ll now be able to acquire with Jurgen Klopp at the helm.
Mario Gotze has been linked, as well as PSG duo Javier Pastore and Lucas Moura – but the reality is our manager has never broken the bank for marquee names.
He moulded his title winning sides at Borussia Dortmund by purchasing younger players with points to prove, but Liverpool’s links to Danny Drinkwater and Shane Long has been met with venom on Twitter today.
In fairness, we can understand why. Even with Klopp in charge, these players won’t take us to the next level.
Let’s hope it’s Sunday paper rubbish.
If these Long and Drinkwater rumours come to anything, I will eat my own arse. Again.

If we sign Long or Drinkwater I will commit. It will be the end of me.
