We saw four Liverpool players take to the field in Saint-Ètienne this evening as England played out a hugely disappointing 0-0 draw with Martin Skrtel’s Slovakia.
Adam Lallana, Daniel Sturridge, Nathaniel Clyne, and Jordan Henderson all found themselves named in Roy’s eleven.
Lallana has now started all three games so far, and after yet another strong performance he was withdrawn by the boss after an hour – presumably with one eye on the next round.

Clyne and Henderson were both seeing their first football of the tournament. Clyne was one of the best players on the pitch and will feel his has a great chance of retaining his place at right-back in the last 16 tie next Monday.
Henderson was industrious without being spectacular. He played the full 90, but it’s hard to see him keeping Rooney or Alli out of the side in the next round.
Sturridge had a quieter game, but Roy bizarrely played him much deeper than against Wales.
Jame Milner was the only man not to see action.
