Four Reds called up as Sam Allardyce names his first England squad

Jordan Henderson, Nathaniel Clyne, Daniel Sturridge, and Adam Lallana have all been named in Sam Allardyce’s first England squad. (via BBC)

All four were involved in Roy Hodgson’s Euros squad this summer. James Milner was not picked after choosing to retire from international football.

Elsewhere, uncapped West Ham winger Michail Antonio has been called up for the first time after a great 2015/16 season, Theo Walcott and Danny Drinkwater have been picked after missing out on the Euros, and Everton’s Phil Jagielka is also back in the squad.

However, there is no place for Ross Barkley or Jack Wilshere.
