Former Liverpool attacker Dirk Kuyt enjoyed a brilliant victory over Manchester United in the Europa League for Feyenoord last night.
The Dutch side won 1-0 and the fans sung YNWA after full-time. Brilliant!
Kuyt left Liverpool in 2012 but has done very well at Fenerbahce and now back in Holland since… Last term, he bagged 23 goals in all competitions and has hit the ground running this campaign too.

So much so, the world’s most expensive footballer Paul Pogba paid him a serious compliment on the pitch yesterday evening.
“He said that it is unbelievable that I am here still running and flying around without any trouble. It’s nice that he has respect for me, especially because he’s one of the best players in Europe.,” Kuyt told Voetbalzone.
In hindsight, we think Kuyt maybe left Liverpool a little early. He’s still got the legs he had during his Anfield tenure, and it’s not like he was ever lauded for his technical ability anyway!
Along with Kuyt, the likes of Xabi Alonso and Javier Mascherano could still do a job for Liverpool. After all, they were mainstays of Liverpool sides that standardly made Champions League semi-finals.
