Sadly, Gerrard never did win the Premier League, coming close in 2008/09 and 2013/14, with Liverpool narrowly missing out on both occasions. He’s without doubt the greatest player to never pick up the trophy, but this hasn’t affected his individual legacy with supporters of all clubs who recognise his world-class contributions from the late 1990s until 2015.
Gerrard’s now winding down his career in MLS for LA Galaxy, which will likely be his final club before he hangs up his boots. We’d love to see him return to the club in a coaching capacity at some point, especially while Jurgen Klopp is still at the helm.
