Our midfielders have been formidable so far this campaign, but Saunders believes Gerrard would walk straight back into the team.
Martin Keown has also claimed that the former Reds skipper would rediscover his hunger if he were put that Liverpool shirt back on and we don’t doubt that.
It’s a questionable suggestion from Saunders, but one that gets everyone thinking. Could Stevie still do a job for us?
