The Reds enter half time having dominated so far with Plymouth showing very little attacking ambition against Liverpool’s youngest ever lineup.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have seen most of the ball and the Reds youngsters have penned their League Two opponents in their own half throughout.
Liverpool haven’t been their sharpest in front of goal and enter the break with the score still at 0-0 despite having several chances to break the deadlock.
17-year-old Ben Woodburn was responsible for one of the best pieces of play in the first 45 minutes when he neatly scooped the ball past the defender just inside the left-hand side of the Plymouth box before tamely poking the ball straight at the goalkeeper.
The chance came after some great play by Emre Can to win the ball back inside Plymouth’s half before moving the ball onto the teenager.
Woodburn has looked bright whenever he has got on the ball, showing some tricky footwork a few minutes later.
