Perennial Serie A champions Juventus are considering a summer move for Liverpool’s young German Emre Can, claims Italian publication La Sampa.
The report suggests that manager Massimiliano Allegri wants midfield enforcements, and Can is on a shortlist which includes Mahmoud Dahoud (incidentally also interesting Liverpool) and Lyon’s Corentin Tolisso…

Both Dahoud and Can’s contracts expire in 2018, meaning both ourselves and Borussia Monchengladbach may get a little tetchy if our respective Germans haven’t renewed by the end of this season, as they’ll be available on a Bosman in less than 12 months time.
Can was instrumental to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool midfield during our boss’s debut season, but he’s struggled to progress this term and is probably behind Gini Wijnaldum in our first choice lineup.
At 22 though, there’s plenty of room for improvement and under Klopp’s guidance he could definitely develop into an elite Premier League central midfielder.
Liverpool have been trying to extend Can’s deal since the summer, but as of yet, have been unsuccessful. With both Liverpool and Juventus after Dahoud though, there could be a situation where the Italians either sign the Bundesliga midfielder and leave Can alone; or beeline for Can – enabling us to go for Dahoud.
Can has a very high ceiling though, and we think he should be given a chance to fulfil his potential at Anfield.
