The likelihood is that Jurgen Klopp not only wishes to keep Sheyi Ojo at the club as a player to fill in for cup competitions, but also more simply because he is a young player he rates highly.
Rumoured interest from Newcastle in signing the winger is believed to have been rejected by Liverpool as Klopp looks to keep his squad together during a testing period.
The Liverpool Echo’s James Pearce reported: “Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has no intention of sending Sheyi Ojo out on loan.”
“Championship leaders Newcastle United are one of a number of clubs keen to secure the young winger’s services during the January window.”

Ojo is expected to feature in tomorrow’s FA Cup third round replay against Plymouth having also featured in the original tie at Anfield.
His name had gone off the radar somewhat as a result of his lengthy injury layoff and the rise of several other Liverpool youngsters during his time away from the action. Following his return, however, Reds fans have been issued a reminder of his talent and are optimistic about the potential he has at the club.
Despite the team’s success so far this season, we are profoundly short of wingers which is why it is no surprise that Klopp is keen on keeping hold of the former MK Dons man.
