Liverpool will go all out for Bayer Leverkusen’s Julian Brandt in the summer, but will turn or attentions a little closer to home if we can’t obtain the 20-year-old German, writes Dominic King in the Mail.
He claims that we’re keen on Leicester City’s wonderkid winger Demarai Gray as an alternative, following the youngster’s FA Cup wonder-goal against Derby a few days ago.

Big news means 28-year-old has probably played his last game for Liverpool
King reckons Jurgen Klopp wants two new wingers, so even if we acquire a bigger, more expensive name – Gray might be the second potential arrival in this position anyway.
The Englishman is 20-years-old and a regular for England Under-21s, although he’s struggled to get in Leicester’s team since arriving from Birmingham 13 months ago, despite their miserable form this season.
He’s quick, skilful and has an eye for goal – but he’s not going to turn Liverpool into title contenders.
Again, like most of our targets, he’s a potentially excellent player when Liverpool need incoming, experienced stars who can immediately boost our first-team and fight for places.
Gray is good, but he doesn’t excite us and we’ll be livid if he ends up being the only winger to sign this summer.
