Big game players are needed in every team and Gini Wijnaldum is starting to look exactly that.
He was outstanding in yesterday’s 2-0 win over Tottenham as he proved to Jurgen Klopp why he must be favoured over Emre Can at the moment.
That cheeky flick in the first half, his perfectly weighted through ball to set up Sadio Mane’s opener, his work rate in the middle of the park- he could not be faulted on anything.
Not only did he prove his worth in the final third but he demonstrated what an athlete he is, standing up to the physical challenge posed by Victor Wanyama and Moussa Dembele superbly.
Reds fans were quick to express their delight over another impressive outing for the former Newcastle midfielder.

Mané will get the headlines and rightly so – he was excellent but for me it was Gini Wijnaldum who was our best player. He was awesome. #LFC
