We think Mousa Dembele is maybe the most underrated midfielder in the Premier League.
He’s crucial for Spurs and we don’t know why he isn’t openly regarded as one of the best in the business.
But on Saturday evening, he was categorically outplayed by Liverpool’s Gini Wijnaldum, who put in his best performance for us since signing from Newcastle in the summer.

Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson were also terrific, with Dembele admitting that our aggression in midfield made the difference.
“They were much more aggressive than us and started much better than us,” Dembele told Tottenham’s official website.
“At the end we can ask as many questions as we want but they were more aggressive and wanted to win more than us. I don’t know why.
“The way we started, maybe we were too lax, maybe we were too complacent – it’s difficult to answer Everybody could see that they were on top of us and in every battle they were more aggressive than us.”
We couldn’t agree more with the Belgian, actually. That aggression, pressing and passion has rarely been seen in 2017, with the players looking lethargic and bereft of ideas more often that not. But a quick start does wonders and conversely gets the crowd on side and momentum grows.
It’s crucial we play like this again next time out against struggling Leicester City.
