Former centre-back for both AC and Inter Milan Dario Simic reckons that his countryman Ivan Perisic should sign for Manchester United, despite Liverpool’s mooted interested.
Throughout January, we were heavily linked to Perisic, such as here in the Express, although it’s important to note none of the reputable journalists followed up with confirmation.

The winger has seven goals for Inter this term and is one of the first names on their team-sheet, starring for Croatia at Euro 2016 to boot.
“I expected Perisic to join one of the big European clubs in the last window,” Simic told Croatian outlet Vecernji, translated by InsideFutbol.
“He definitely has the class for the biggest clubs.
“I can see him at Manchester United.”
Perisic is a decent, versatile attacker, but he wouldn’t get in our starting front-three and at 28, there’s little room for improvement.
We doubt Jurgen Klopp has ever considered him in truth, which the respected correspondents (such as the Echo) naming younger attackers like Julian Brandt and Christian Pulisic as targets instead.
What Liverpool require in the summer is pace out-wide, creative central midfielders and a left-back. We’ll see who Klopp goes for in due course.
