Ryan Giggs tells Man United: Be like Liverpool…

Ryan Giggs has complained about Manchester United’s inability to find the back of the net, despite having the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Henrikh Mkhitaryan at his disposal..

We’ve scored 66 Premier League goals this term, while United have found the net a measly 43 times.

The former Premier League winger, now retired, has suggested that his old team need to take a leaf out of our book and spread the goalscoring responsibility around…

Sadio Mane, Divock Origi and Roberto Firmino are all in double figures for the season, while Coutinho, Adam Lallana and Gini Wijnaldum aren’t far off themselves.

But the second top scorer for our hated rivals is Juan Mata, who’s notched six.

“It’s frustrating. You’re dominating games and have so many draws. You look up and it’s like ‘what could have been?’,” Giggs told the Daily Mail.

“You only have to look at Liverpool. I questioned them — they’ve not got a centre forward who can score 20 goals. But they just come from everywhere and they are the leading goalscorers. That’s what United need to get back.

“My target was always to get double figures and then 15 assists. That’s 25 goals. If Becks is doing the same, you’ve got a lot there.”

Despite United playing horrible, drab football for the majority of the campaign, they’re only six points behind us with two games in hand, and our battle with them for the top four is very real.

If we’d have beaten Bournemouth, there’d have been a nice gap, but conceding that late goal to Josh King on Wednesday was monumentally damaging.

Hopefully, we can right the wrongs of midweek today against Stoke, who’ll offer a serious challenge at the Britannia.
