That transfer rumour mill is beginning to slow down and Liverpool’s main transfer targets are beginning to become increasingly clear.
The same names are starting to crop up on a daily basis and Jurgen Klopp’s summer intentions are becoming more detailed, much to the excitement of Liverpool fans.
Commenting on the club’s recruitment, the German told the Liverpool Echo: “It’s more my feeling than anything I could say about what a player thinks.”
“But the talks we’ve had so far are very positive. That doesn’t mean it will all work out, but they are really positive, and they all see the progress. That’s good.”

Klopp looks set to be granted the freedom to spend the largest transfer budget in the club’s history as Liverpool’s Fenway Sports Group owners look to ensure the club can compete at the very top for years to come.
Bolstering the squad’s strength in depth and reinforcing the spine of the team in particular have emerged as priorities with Klopp keen to ensure his team do not suffer the same dip in form they experienced towards the beginning of 2017.
Southampton centre-back Virgil van Dijk, RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita and Bayer Leverkusen winger Julian Brandt have all been identified as key targets and the candidates likely to take up the bulk of the money that will be spent.
Klopp’s long-term Liverpool project could be about to reach a crucial stage with a top four spot still a possibility and a busy transfer window seeming inevitable.
