Liverpool are interested in signing Bayern Munich’s Arturo Vidal, writes James Nalton in World Football Index.

Vidal provides similar energy and quality in the middle, but at 30-years-old, is eight years the Guinean’s senior.

Nalton has been accused of fabricating the rumour, but the website has no ads and features articles on North Korean and Peruvian football – so we’re not really sure what his motive would be…
He’s an accredited Premier League and UEFA journalist, but this doesn’t necessarily make him reliable – as we’ve witnessed with multiple reporters all season…
Vidal would be a superb signing, but we’re not sure Bayern Munich would sell and perhaps most importantly – he doesn’t appear the kind of player Liverpool (under FSG) bring in.
We focus on players with sell-on value and very rarely purchase big names who are probably past their peak – regardless of how much they could help us.
