Liverpool are to use all three of our goalkeepers this season: Simon Mignolet, Loris Karius and Danny Ward.
(Sorry Adam Bogdan, but you’re unlikely to get a look in!)
According to Paul Joyce in the Times, Jurgen Klopp has decided to award Mignolet Premier League duties and Karius the Champions League – inferring that Ward will play in the League Cup at least.

Klopp: Coutinho so good in training, I might have to start him
Otherwise, there’d have been little point keeping him for the campaign and not sending him on loan…
Mignolet has not really put a foot wrong in 2017 and rightly deserves the league spot, which of course features most games.
But Karius is a promising young stopper and it would be unfair to rule him out as our future no.1, despite a shaky performance against Arsenal last time out.
Welshman Ward was born on exactly the same day as his German counterpart, but will get fewer chances to impress. Hopefully we’ll enjoy a good run in the horribly named Carabao Cup and he’ll get a chance to prove himself.
