Liverpool have had 121 shots in our past six games, but have scored just six times and won just won of these matches.
That’s potentially the craziest Liverpool stat we’ve ever heard.
Those six games have included a solitary win against Leicester, defeats to Manchester City and Leicester (this time in the League Cup) and draws against Burnley, Sevilla and Spartak Moscow.
It was the Russian side who held us tonight in the Champions League, with their only effort of note on goal ending up in the back of our net, predictably.
We had all the possession and countless clear chances, but just couldn’t put the ball in the back of the net when it sometimes looked easier to score.
Surely in our history there hasn’t been a run of games where we’ve dominated teams to this extent and got so little from in return…
When the attack fires, the defence is useless, and when the defence turn up, the attack cannot finish its dinner.
But how are we going to fix it…?
