Liverpool’s starting XI for tonight’s match with Spartak Moscow is being circulated a few hours before our Champions League game is due to kick-off.
Sources who’ve travelled to Russia have confirmed to us the side that trained together ahead of the crucial Group Game and will take the field from the outset.
On paper, it looks terrific. For the first time this season, Coutinho, Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino will start together.
If they’re on form, Spartak need to be very, very worried.
In order to bring Mane back into the side that beat Leicester at the weekend, Jurgen Klopp is dropping the ineffectual Gini Wijnaldum, allowing Jordan Henderson and Emre Can to anchor the side.
At the back, Trent Alexander-Arnold replaces the suspended Joe Gomez, while Aberto Moreno keeps his spot on the other side.
Dejan Lovren partners Joel Matip at the back. Hopefully, they’ll begin to improve their partnership as they rack up the minutes.
Loris Karius is between the sticks, as he will be for all our Champions League fixtures.
