Former Liverpool skipper Phil Thompson has told the club to ask Borussia Dortmund about the availability of world-class striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The forward plunders goals for fun in the Bundesliga and is already on 13 for the season in all competitions.

Emre Can’s latest quotes suggest he’s probably leaving LFC
That’s more than double Liverpool’s current top scorer Mo Salah, who’s on five.
“I do feel that come January we need to improve the defenders and get an out-and-out striker,” Thompson told Sky Sports, cited in Anfield HQ.
“If Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang became available then he should be on our hit list.”
All our rivals have a top goalscorer leading their line, but Jurgen Klopp has chosen Roberto Firmino as his first choice centre-forward.
The Brazilian offers lots to our frontline, but not nearly enough goals.
In fact, his finishing is undeniably poor, especially in comparison with Harry Kane, Romelu Lukaku and Sergui Aguero, to name but a few.
We’d absolutely love a striker of Aubameyang’s ability, but don’t think it’s on Klopp’s to-do list.
He definitely wants a new centre-back, but with Daniel Sturridge backing up Firmino, Klopp is content with his options up top.
Sadly though, no Premier League team has ever won the title without a forward who scores a lot.
