Mourinho criticises Liverpool for playing too defensively…

during the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, second leg match between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain at Stamford Bridge on March 11, 2015 in London, England.

God this guy is an idiot, isn’t he…?

Following Liverpool’s 0-0 draw with Manchester United at Anfield today, in which Jose Mourinho predictably parked the bus, the Portuguese claimed that we played defensively in the second half.

This, from the manager of a team who kept ten men behind the ball at most times and tested our goalkeeper once.

Here’s what Mourinho told Sky Sports after the game…

“We came for 3. But in 2nd half we felt that difficult to do,” he began.

“I was waiting for Jurgen to go more attacking, but he didn’t. He kept 3 strong midfielders the whole game.

“He did well. He didn’t let the game break. They were very good from a defensive point of view.

“For me, the 2nd half was a bit of chess, but my opponent didn’t open the door for me to win the game.”

Mourinho’s patronising comments here are clearly meant to wind his opposite number up, but Jurgen Klopp will know what went on at this Saturday lunchtime.

The Portuguese is renowned for murdering football matches and sadly, he got away with it again.

His squad is the second most expensively assembled in the world, but this is just how he goes about his business.

Klopp’s Liverpool are not getting the results at the moment, but there’s absolutely no way we’d swap him for Mourinho.
