Predicting Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool lineups has become increasingly difficult in recent weeks.
The German’s been rotating and against Brighton last time out, changed formation and picked Emre Can and Gini Wijnaldum in defence!
But in his press-conference yesterday he promised to go full strength for tonight’s must-win clash with Spartak Moscow – so we think it’ll be back to his tried and tested 4-3-3 – which has featured every time in Europe.
Loris Karius plays the cup games, while Joe Gomez and Ragnar Klavan are well again after suffering short bouts of illness. Alberto Moreno and Dejan Lovren should join them in the back-four.
We’re predicting Klopp will pick all four of his big hitters: Coutinho, Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino – which means Phil will start in his deeper midfield position.
Jordan Henderson will anchor the side with one of Gini Wijnaldum, Emre Can or James Milner on the other side. We think the Dutchman will get the nod and Liverpool’s XI will look a little something like this:
