Mohamed Salah continued his emphatic scoring streak on Sunday with a stunning goal in Liverpool’s clash with Everton.
The Egyptian stylishly found the net in his first ever Merseyside derby to give the Reds a deserved lead three minutes before half-time.
Salah’s strike eased Liverpool’s nerves somewhat, with Jurgen Klopp’s men having dominated the opening half but struggled to break down Everton’s compact defensive setup.
The Reds’ summer-signing proved to be the difference yet again, as he sent his marker in a twist with a jinking run, before cutting in on his left foot and curling into the top corner.
A superb 45 minutes from the Reds could have been even better had Sadio Mane made the most of a glorious chance to make it 2-0.
The Senegalese forward burst through on goal but opted to take the shot on himself rather than square to one of three on-rushing teammates for an easy finish, subsequently dragging his effort agonisingly wide.
