The man who scored 1,283 goals and won three World Cups, Pele, has lauded Mo Salah, recent winner of the African Player of the Year award.
Liverpool’s Egyptian winger received the gong earlier this week, pipping team-mate Sadio Mane to the prize.
Pele took to Twitter to congratulate Salah, encouraging him to keep up the good work and stating that he cannot wait to see the flyer in Russia!
Egypt have qualified for the World Cup of course, mainly thanks to Salah’s genius, and will face the hosts in the Group Stage.
Parabéns, @22MoSalah! It's been an incredible year! Keep going and I look forward to seeing you play on the greatest stage next year – the World Cup. https://t.co/1QYSqBboM0

Pele does actually talk some nonsense, but his endorsement of Salah is something we’ll happily get behind!
This term, the 25-year-old has been our most exciting player, scoring 19 goals already – an incredible amount considering he doesn’t take set-pieces and cuts in from the right.
