LFC target available for crazy £11.1m bargain

Julian Brandt has a clause in his contract that allows any side to buy him for just £11.1m in the summer.

In this day and age, that’s peanuts, especially for a German international who’s still just 21-years-old.

German outlet Der Western make the claim, suggesting that Bayern Munich are considering the winger as they look to secure virtually all the best young talent in the country; expected to announce fellow Liverpool target Leon Goretzka in the coming days.

Jurgen Klopp was very keen on Brandt this time last year and he was on the shortlist last summer as well, but the club thankfully decided to buy Mo Salah instead.

The Egyptian flyer has been jaw-droppingly good, scoring 24 goals in all competitions so far.

An injury to one of Salah or Sadio Mane significantly weakens our frontline though, since Coutinho left, so a pacy wing-forward is a necessity.

For £11.1m, Brandt would essentially be a risk free transfer and would significantly boost our bench.

Of course, the player may want first-team guarantees, but he won’t get those at Bayern either.

Certainly one to keep an eye on, anyway.
