Barcelona ace’s agent in England discussing terms with LFC – Report

Vidal, Klopp

We’re not sure we trust this Spanish report for a minute, in all honesty.

Estadio Deportivo are claiming that the representatives of Aleix Vidal are currently in England to talk to both Liverpool and Manchester United about a January transfer.

What PSG star said about LFC’s Robertson in 2015 is crazy…

The 28-year-old Spaniard is a sub at the Nou Camp and wants to leave for more first-team football before the World Cup in Russia, not that he has much chance of getting in ahead of Dani Carvajal or Cesar Azpilicueta at right-back anyway.

We’re just convinced Jurgen Klopp isn’t chasing a right-back, though.

This season, he’s rotated between Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold, with both coming on leaps and bounds. Gomez, the slightly older man, has had a few more chances, and despite mistakes, has fantastic composure and is brilliant on the ball. Trent’s a phenomenal attacking outlet and has the potential to be an elite marauding fullback, too.

What’s more, England international Nathaniel Clyne will eventually return to action and compete with the pair for minutes.

The last thing we need is another right-back.

The club should spend everything we have on a new keeper instead!
