Liverpool’s forgotten man Lazar Markovic could finally depart the club.
German reports in SWR are suggesting Hoffenheim want the Serb, who’s flopped since his £20m transfer from Benfica in 2014.

Looking back at two comments when Liverpool signed Markovic in 2014 is crazy…
Sandro Wagner (Bayern Munich) and Philipp Ochs (on loan to VfL Bochum) have both left Hoffenheim, so their charismatic young manager Julian Nagelsmann desperately needs to recruit enforcements.
We’d surely let Markovic go for a relatively small transfer fee, although we’d likely allow another loan as well, considering he’s simply of no value to Jurgen Klopp, who clearly doesn’t rate the 23-year-old.
Since Klopp arrived, Markovic has been shipped out on two loan deals and hasn’t made a single appearance in any competition.
At 23, he needs a new challenge at a slightly smaller club where he can hopefully improve with less pressure.
It’s sad, but the Liverpool move clearly came too quickly for Markovic, who was rated incredibly highly when we clinched his signature.
