Harry Wilson has set his sights on senior involvement with Liverpool when his loan deal with Hull City comes to an end.
The Welshman is currently plying his trade with the Championship side after sealing a deadline day switch in January in search of long overdue regular first-team football.
Wilson has produced an impressive start to life with the Yorkshire club, registering three goals and two assists in in six league appearances.
He has also been influential in injecting fresh optimism in Hull’s fight for survival, helping his temporary employers rise from the relegation zone to 18th place.
Speaking to WalesOnline, he said: “I have been at Liverpool since the age of eight, so that’s always been my dream to play in the first team. So hopefully I can do that. If that’s not to come next season hopefully it will in the future.”
“He (Klopp) is a brilliant man manager, so I had a few conversations with him, let him know I wanted senior football and then he told me his view of it.”

“Thankfully I was able to get out at the end of the window and I’m in a great team in Hull and hopefully we’ll stay up. Hopefully he was watching, I might get a message off him.”
“I was more than ready for senior football, so I just wanted to go there, I’ve been given the minutes I wanted and hopefully I am doing well so when I go back to Liverpool pre-season I can have a good go at it.”
Prior to his Hull switch, the 21-year-old had been in sparkling form for Liverpool’s U23s to build on his superb 2016/2017 campaign.
Wilson scored 10 goals and supplied three assists in 12 Premier League 2 appearances for Neil Critchley’s side during the first half of this season to present a loan move as a natural transition in his development.
A debut goal for Wales in a recent 6-0 win over China served as the latest instalment of what is proving to be a key season in Wilson’s charge on the senior stage.
If all goes well over the next couple of months, there’s no reason why he can’t be a prominent figure in Liverpool’s preparations ahead of next season.
