Here’s one that has already got everyone talking…
Portuguese journalist Marcus Alves has claimed that Liverpool are working on signing Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves this summer. In replacement, the newly promoted Championship club will bring in Brazilian Talisca, currently on loan at Besiktas from Benfica.
‘The wheels are in motion,’ Alves reckons:
21-year-old Neves has been the best midfielder in the Championship by some distance this season and in reality, is far too good to be playing in a second tier – anywhere.

He went to Wolves last summer due to the fact Jorge Mendes is his agent and has close (controversial) ties to the club…
Jorginho is our primary option for the no.6 role, but Neves is another name who could definitely do a job.
Alves is an expert on Portuguese football, but has no links to Liverpool and we’re unsure on whether to take his claims seriously.
What’s more, we’re not sure if Mendes would want to weaken Wolves by offloading their best player.
There’s likely to be hundreds of journalists popping up from various countries over the next months – some with genuine information and some making rather more outlandish claims.
We’ll do our best to keep you following the right people, but for no, take everything with a pinch of salt!
