LFC boss names Roma player he ‘likes watching’ the most

Jurgen Klopp was mighty complimentary about AS Roma during his Champions League press-conference yesterday.

The boss has lauded their entire team, but picked out Mo Salah’s former partner in crime Edin Dzeko as the player he rates highest.

“I watch a lot of Italian football, I know Edin Dzeko from Germany – I like watching him. I wasn’t surprised [they made it to the semis]. They have a near full squad available, and all of them are good,” he said.

Last season, Salah and Dzeko caused havoc in Italy, before we poached the Egyptian for £37m.

Since, he’s scored 41 goals for Liverpool and has established himself as one of the best players in the world.

Dzeko though still poses a mighty threat.

He’s the kind of physical forward Dejan Lovren has traditionally struggled with, so we’ll need the Croat to have an outstanding performance at Anfield.

On top of that, Loris Karius will need to bounce back from a disappointing show at the Hawthorns on Saturday lunchtime, in which we conceded two late goals to throw away a lead unexpectedly.

We’re fully backing our entire team to the rise to the occasion, however.

Bring it on.
