Shaqiri has a £13m release-clause due to Stoke being relegated from the Premier League.
He’s still only 26-years-old, so it’s a bargain price in today’s market for a skilful attacker with experience of playing in the Champions League, England, Italy and Germany.
We don’t imagine he’ll be anything other than an impact substitute, or a rotation option for lesser competitions, but we’ve no problem with this.
