Liverpool are on the verge of finalising a deal for Xherdan Shaqiri.
The Swiss will be at Melwood today completing a medical and penning personal terms and it would’t surprise us if the transfer was announced by the end of the evening, actually.

Marko Grujic has a problem with Xherdan Shaqiri
That’s according to Melissa Reddy, who backs up what was initially reported in the Telegraph last night.
Xherdan Shaqiri is due on Merseyside today to finalise the formalities of his £13m transfer from #SCFC to #LFC. If all goes as planned, official confirmation on a deal should follow before the end of the weekend.

The 26-year-old will become our third summer signing, following Fabinho and Naby Keita.
With Jurgen Klopp deciding to give Danny Ward a chance as our no.1, the only other arrival we can see happening is an elite central playmaker, such as Nabil Fekir – but that one could go down to the wire with negotiations breaking down before the World Cup started.
Some fans will be disappointed with that window, but we suppose it depends on the success of Ward between the sticks as to its long-term success.
If the Welshman proves he’s up to the job, then we could have £60m and have a Brit in goal for many a season.
