However, Ilkay Gundogan, who’s been so good in de Bruyne’s absence, is unlikely to play following the injury he picked up midweek in the Champions League.
We reckon City could start in a 3-5-2 formation with Aymeric Laporte, Vincent Kompany and John Stones at the back, with Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy as marauding wing-backs.
In midfield, Fernandinho, David Silva and Bernardo Silva could start, with de Bruyne available off the bench.
Raheem Sterling has been phenomenal for City, but he’s always dire at Anfield and we can see Sergio Aguero partnering Gabriel Jesus up top, with Leroy Sane and Riyad Mahrez electrifying potential subs.
