Jurgen Klopp says James Milner has a hamstring injury but is not yet certain of the extent of the issue.
Milner was forced off after around half an hour of the game with Manchester City, and Klopp told reporters that the midfielder knew the injury was bad enough to come off, but hopes it is not long-term.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Klopp said: “How much? It’s too early. I don’t know. I asked him whether it was a big one and he said ‘I don’t think so, but enough that I go off’.”

Milner has been instrumental to the Reds so far this season, and Naby Keita took a while to warm into the match when he replaced the 32-year-old, so to lose him for a few weeks would be a big blow.
He will undergo further tests on Monday to determine the full extent of the issue meaning an anxious wait; hopefully, he will simply return once the international break is over in time for the game against Huddersfield.
