(Video) The two superb Alisson saves you may have missed vs. Uruguay

Alisson save vs. Uruguay

Alisson left his mark on the international stage on Friday as he made two excellent saves in Brazil’s 1-0 win over Uruguay.

The Liverpool goalkeeper made an outstanding stop on the stroke of half time when he displayed impressive reflexes to keep out a fierce Edinson Cavani volley.

He followed this up shortly after the interval with a great effort to dive low to his left-hand side and deny Luis Suarez’s free-kick.

Brazil were able to capitalise in the 76th minute when Neymar converted from the penalty spot after Manchester City’s Danilo had been brought down by Diego Laxalt.

Alisson managed all 90 minutes of a fiery and somewhat disappointing affair, continuing as Brazil’s no.1 ahead of Ederson.

Roberto Firmino was also handed another full game as Tite again favoured the Liverpool man over Gabriel Jesus, whilst summer signing Fabinho remained an unused substitute at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium.

A positive night for Reds on international duty also saw Mohamed Salah score Egypt’s winner in a 3-2 victory over Tunisia and Georginio Wijnaldum get on the scoresheet as he and Virgil van Dijk helped the Netherlands beat France 2-0.
