The French World Cup winner also spoke about Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, which is not going to go down well at Old Trafford.

He doesn’t seem to help himself sometimes with the comments he comes out with!

Pogba told NBC: “When I was younger I was more attacking so I used to watch Ronaldinho, (Zinedine) Zidane, (Cristiano) Ronaldo, all those attacking players. Now I look at Kevin De Bruyne, (Luka) Modric, Toni Kroos.

“I try to be myself, always be myself, you know, and try to do things that… Steven Gerrard, (Mesut) Ozil, Frank Lampard, those players, what they did in their careers.

There’s no way Pogba will ever get close to Gerrard, but it’s nice to know he’s thinking about the Reds! To be fair, who wouldn’t want to emulate Stevie G?

The comments are sure to go down very well amongst United fans…
