Paul Glatzel has signed his first professional contract with Liverpool amid an outstanding individual campaign for the club.
The striker has been instrumental for Barry Lewtas’ U18s this season, captaining the young Reds to joint-top in the youth Premier League alongside Merseyside rivals Everton.
Such has been his sparkling form that he has also been called up to the U23s on multiple occasions, notching his first goal for Neil Critchley’s side in the recent 1-0 win over West Ham.
His latest strike means he now boasts a superb tally of 23 goals across all competitions so far this term.
It marks a deserved reward for the promising teenager, who has battled to overcome a broken leg and hamstring issues in recent years.
Glatzel’s new deal, arriving in the week he turns 18-years-old, was confirmed by Liverpoolfc.com.
