Liverpool are reportedly in talks with Tottenham Hotspur over using their new stadium for a pre-season fixture in the warm up for next season.
Anfield is set to host a series of gigs over the summer – with Pink, Bon Jovi and a few others set to perform at the stadium.
It’s this reason that the Reds are reportedly talking to Spurs to get use of their new stadium in London.
This will certainly come as welcome news for any Liverpool fans down south who haven’t been fortunate enough to get to a game just yet.
According to the Daily Mail, talks are now ongoing between the two clubs and Spurs will be compensated for any use of their stadium.
The Reds are also set to embark on a tour of the United States over the summer.
The arrangement could also make financial sense from Spurs side of things. The Londoners may be willing to host games to aid their repayments on the stadium so they may like the sound of the idea.
Tottenham are clearly looking to make some extra money with their new stadium, with the NFL’s Chicago Bears, Oakland Raiders, Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers all heading that way in October.
