Mino Raiola likes that Matthijs De Ligt, his client, is being link to Liverpool – because this will enable him to get more money elsewhere.
In fact, Liverpool have no real interest in the Dutchman, mainly due to the fact the club thinks Joe Gomez is equally talented.
This is according to Danny Gallagher, Sky Sports journalist, who shared the news on Twitter after the Nations League match yesterday.
Last #DeLigt, Van Dijk pairing match for a while. #LFC not in for the player this summer, committed to developing Gomez & believe he has greater all-round physical capabilities. #LFC links welcomed by Raiola who wants biggest eventual deal.

De Ligt is a special player, but despite his injuries, so is Gomez…
Liverpool also have Joel Matip, who was sensational during the second half of last season, and Dejan Lovren – a more than able fourth choice – especially considering Virgil van Dijk is practically ever-present.
For this reason, we totally understand the club’s reasoning. When you consider what it would cost to secure De Ligt, it makes even more sense.
Instead, we’ll likely spend big on another attacker, with Daniel Sturridge departing.
Elsewhere, we need a new left-back to replace Alberto Moreno – and don’t think much will be spent elsewhere.
