Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita sustained a minor hip strain during African Cup of Nations duty with Guinea, but is expected to be available for selection for the Reds’ upcoming pre-season.
The injury ended our number eight’s international tournament, and he has returned to Melwood for further medical examination by the club’s staff.
Keita is expected to feature in Liverpool’s pre-season a the tail end of July, the club has confirmed – putting to bed early concerns that the midfielder may miss the start of the 2019/20 Premier League season.
