Having not joined Jürgen Klopp’s senior side for their pre-season tour of the United States, a report from Football Scotland suggests that the Reds could send 19-year-old Liam Millar back out on loan to Kilmarnock.
The temporary spell, however, would be dependent on an approval by the Scottish side’s manager, Angelo Alessio.
Back in January, the Canadian forward was loaned to Kilmarnock and made 14 total appearances of which two were starts.
Millar’s first goal for the Scottish Premiership side came in a 2-1 in over St Mirren in March, though that was the only time he managed to find the net in 13 league performances.
The report in question also suggests that Millar would be keen on a move back to Rugby Park, which would give him the opportunity to play regular first-team football, rather than turning out for the Red’s youth side.
Millar played in the Reds’ most recent pre-season game in the 3-1 win over Bradford, appearing as part of the second-half line-up, but will return to Melwood to join up with the rest of the under-23 squad.
