Simon Mignolet has been confirmed as the latest Liverpool to head for the exit door, after Alberto Moreno and Daniel Sturridge left the club last month.
Club Brugge announced that an agreement had been agreed in principle for the Reds goalkeeper, and seemingly every reputable journalist – including Paul Joyce – confirmed Migs will have a medical on Monday.

The Belgian international has been at Anfield since 2013, and has been nothing but professional since the arrival of Alisson Becker, but his time at the club has come to an end.
It’s nice that big Si is going back to his homeland – he’ll get the game-time he deserves at Brugge, but the Reds will now have to find a replacement.
Here’s how some fans have been reacting on social media:

Never forget how crazy and big this penalty save from Diego Costa felt at the time from Mignolet.

Can’t blame Mignolet for leaving for 1st team football after 6 seasons at the club. A great figure in the dressing room, helped Alisson to settle in his 1st season + full of praise on social media to our players accomplishments.
I wish him all the best at Club Brugge. 🇧🇪 pic.twitter.com/SGuZ2o4gKW

Was Simon Mignolet the best goalkeeper? No.
But he doesn’t get enough credit — the man was always a model professional, supported the team and never complained about the situation with Alisson.
Glad he leaves a Champions League winner and wish him the best at Brugge. pic.twitter.com/qI9OrDcX0s

Simon Mignolet is the dream squad player and a model professional, he'll be a huge loss to the dressing room. Although he divided opinion as a player, his work ethic was unquestionable and he never sulked when he wasn't playing enough. Thanks for the memories Si, good luck ♥️ pic.twitter.com/zRT1AYN8kR
