There’s been some pretty outrageous stuff discovered about Saif Rubie since his ridiculous attack on Liverpool and Michael Edwards last night.
He’s been found out as a homophobe and a sexist, as well as an utter sleazebag.
But this tweet is perhaps the worst of the lot.
The disgraced football agent, who has since deleted his Twitter account, claimed last year that Adam Johnson should never have gone to prison for having sex with a 15-year-old because… ‘Who hasn’t made a similar mistake?’
If he’s joking, it’s ridiculously inappropriate and not in the slightest bit funny – and if he isn’t – which judging by the rest of his tweets, he isn’t – it’s shocking.
We just hope Bobby Duncan realises the man he’s employed to look after his future is toxic and gets rid.
An 18-year-old can be forgiven for his mistakes, but a 40-year-old man looking to benefit from that same teenager and using mental health as a bargaining point needs to be completely removed from his position of privilege.
We have no idea what will happen next. We just hope Duncan gets advice from proper people and that he comes out of this situation the other side.
