Ox jokes that Salah doesn’t ‘pass to us’ as LFC star makes light of the situation

Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain took part in a light-hearted interview with BBC Match of the Day, and joked that Mo Salah doesn’t pass to his team-mates.

The Ox then goes on to clarify that the Egyptian winger isn’t selfish because he’s a goal-scorer, and that’s his role in team – just as it is for Sadio Mane.

The former Arsenal man was asked to finish the sentence ‘Mohamed Salah isn’t selfish because…’, and laughed in response. “Isn’t selfish? Are you winding me up?he told the BBC reporter.

The guy don’t pass to us. Are you mad? Ask Sadio. No, Mo Salah isn’t selfish because he’s a goal scorer. He’s gotta do that.

We can’t expect him to pass us the ball all the time and him to score loads of goals. The way he plays wins us games, so he’s got to do what he’s got to do.

He scores, we win the game. I’m happy. Mo, do what you want!

Oxlade-Chamberlain joking about the situation shows that there’s no bad blood between the team-mates, and that’s very important.

Like Chambo suggests, the eleven players on the field make up a team and certain players in that team have specific roles – it sounds as if Salah has more freedom than most, however.

That being said, we’ve now seen Ox, Salah, Mane, Firmino and a few other of players joke about the situation – I’d suggest that whatever was said or felt has been resolved.
