Liverpool have reportedly opened talks with Borussia Monchengladbach’s Denis Zakaria ahead of a potential future move to the Premier League.
The midfielder is also said to have interest from fellow European giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund – as well as Manchester United.
That’s according to Sky Germany – as per the Daily Mirror – who claim that the Reds and Arsenal have moved to the front of the queue.
Zakaria is under contract until 2022, but an appropriate offer for the Bundesliga man would surely be able to prise him from Gladbach.
The same report also claims that Man United and Spurs have also opened talks with the player, but the allure of the Reds would surely bump us to the front of the queue.
A January move for the midfielder is unlikely, but every man has their price and there’s surely a figure that could tempt Gladbach to consider selling their star.
If this rumour is to be believed, it’ll raise some questions in the mind of Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic, currently on loan at Hertha Berlin, as they play a very similar role.
