Italian manager Fabio Copello has been very complimentary of Jurgen Klopp ahead of Liverpool’s big Premier League clash with Manchester City this weekend.
The former England boss has praised the German’s relationship with the supporters and has in part attributed the atmosphere inside Anfield to Klopp.
“Jurgen Klopp, he made something magic for me,” said Capello to Sky Sports (via Live4Liverpool).
“The atmosphere at Anfield is fantastic, he is like the fans, the fantastic connection between Klopp, team and fans is a unique thing.”
Plaudits for the boss has come from far and wide and thick and fast, but to hear a manager like Capello talk about him in such a way is brilliant.
He’s right and all – the atmosphere at Anfield is famous, but there is no doubt that the presence of Klopp has made things even better.
One thing that he clearly enjoys doing is giving the Kop his now famous three pronged fist pump as the fans cheer each of his air punches.
The manager has already engraved his name into the club’s history by delivering the Champions League trophy last year, but with his eye on the Premier League – Klopp could end up being regarded at one of our very best ever.
