Juggling the return of South American players after the end of the international break was always going to be a tough ask for Jurgen Klopp but he had a special plan for both Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz.
Speaking to the media ahead of facing Toulouse, the manager said:“Lucho’s job was to create, prepare, do what you can do to cause as much trouble as possible, and Darwin comes on and kills the game off – that was the idea and that worked out really, really well”.
It’s fair to say that, seeing as both players were directly involved in each goal, the plan worked like a dream.
Let’s hope that we have a similar plan in our arsenal for the upcoming fixtures, starting with the Europa League clash at Anfield.
