Authenticity or… Manchester City? That un-posed question may have been answered by the viewership figures of the live coverage of Liverpool’s post-match presentation in honour of Jurgen Klopp.

Over 166,000 were watching the clip in question – compared to a rather paltry 23,000 in attendance online for Manchester City’s Premier League title win.

Not to attribute significance on the basis of viewership alone, of course. The authentic nature of the manager’s post-match speech to supporters is certainly remarkable enough to stand comfortably on its own two feet against the Sky Blues’ fourth league title in a row.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
