You could forgive Liverpool fans for desiring some serious activity in the market despite a promising start to the 2024/25 season.
No one is denying that Arne Slot has been left a very strong squad by his predecessor, Jurgen Klopp – much stronger, certainly, than the armoury left to the German by Brendan Rodgers.
That said, we can’t help but feel we’re a little lacking in some areas (chiefly at centre-back and the right side of the forward line).
@asim_lfc voiced the concerns in question as our principal owner, John W. Henry, emerged from the tunnel, flanked by Billy Hogan, to take in proceedings between Liverpool and Brentford.
The American had no comment.
